Senior Vice President and Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley and Mid-Iowa Health Foundation Board Member
Ashley Shafer joined the Mid-Iowa Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2025 and serves on the Grant Committee and the Investment Committee. Ashley is the Senior Vice President and Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley. She graduated from Lake Forest College with a double major in Business and Studio Art.
Ashley began her career at The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines where she served as Director of Affiliates and Philanthropic Partners working with donors, attorneys, CPA’s and Financial Advisors.
Ashley is a native Iowan who returned home after working in New York in the fashion industry and graduating from Lake Forest College with a double major in Business and Studio Art. She still loves painting and interior design, but much of her time outside the office is spent with her husband Mike, daughter Scarlet and participating in philanthropic pursuits. In addition to the Mid-Iowa Health Foundation board, Ashley serves on the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines’ Professional Advisor Council, Great Outdoors Foundation board, supports the Alzheimer’s Association and volunteers with the Iowa State Fair Foundation.
