Rob Barron

Executive Director of the Seed Coalition and Mid-Iowa Health Foundation Board Vice Chair

Rob X. Barron joined Mid-Iowa Health Foundation's Board of Directors in 2019. In addition to serving as Vice Chair, Rob serves on the Governance and Audit Committees. He is the Executive Director of the Seed Coalition, a network of colleges and universities in the Midwest that are focused on civic engagement and equitable campus-community partnerships. He is also the co-founder of the Latino Political Network, a non-partisan organization which serves to educate and empower Latinos to serve at all levels of elected office throughout Iowa. Rob was elected to the Des Moines School Board in 2013, becoming the first Latino ever elected in Iowa's largest county. He served as board chair and vice chair over his eaght years of service. Priot to joining the Seed Coalition he previously worked for Senator Tom Harkin (ret.), NextGen Climate, and Grant View University.
