Trauma-Informed Juvenile Detention

The Trauma-Informed Juvenile Detention initiative is an innovative approach to helping youth better understand how their past experiences can connect to their current behaviors and to develop coping strategies, as well as preparing staff to support youth in a trauma-informed way. Mid-Iowa Health Foundation made the initial investment for Lutheran Services in Iowa to provide trauma-informed services in detention.
